Camp Scholarships
Philosophy
The goal of Impact 2818 Outdoor Ministries is to serve the local church by providing opportunities for connecting campers to Christ. It is our desire that everyone has the opportunity to attend camp. Unfortunately, finances provide an obstacle for many campers. For this reason, Impact 2818 Outdoor Ministries offers a scholarship program and this year will be distributing $124,000 to assist families. Any participant can apply for a scholarship to cover part or all of the camp fee.
We have made some changes to the scholarship process. As always, scholarships are based on financial need. Pastor signatures are no longer required. We will be verifying each applicant’s need based on financial information provided by the family. Submitting applications directly to the camping ministry will make the scholarship process faster and easier for families.
- Online Processing is no longer available; only paper applications are now being accepted.
- Campers will only be awarded one scholarship per season per year.
Types of Scholarships
Family in Need
Never let money be the reason you can't attend camp. This scholarship is for families currently feeling a financial burden and awards up to 100% of the base cost of camp. The criteria uses federal poverty guidelines, the number of members in your family and last years net income.
Standard Assistance
Standard Scholarships are available to campers who need financial assistance, and do not qualify for any other type of scholarship. Recipients are awarded up to 1/3 of the base price. Qualification is based upon the number of family members and income.
Multiple Campers Scholarships
Do you have 3 or more registered campers from one family? Net income is not considered. We're just so excited about how much you must love camp. We know it can be expensive to send all of your kids to camp and it'd be a shame if only two of the family got to go...so send them all.
Special Needs Camps
Available to campers who are attending CAMP REYOAD or Special Skills Camp (up to 66% of base price)
Ethnic Minority
Ethnic Minority Scholarships are available to campers of any ethnic minority. Recipients are awarded up to 2/3 of base price.
Children of Directors
Children of Directors Scholarships are available to children that are attending the same week of camp that their parent is directing. Scholarship is 50% off of the base price for each child. To inquire about this scholarhsip, please contact your camp manager.

Using Scholarships
Individual Camper Registration
After you recieve your iCash Code (electronic scholarship), jump online and start a registration. Once you've selected your camp and entered all of your info, you'll confirm your order and it will ask for your iCash code at that point. Simply enter it, it will deduct the appropriate amount and you can conclude the registration by paying any balance due.
Multiple Scholarship Codes
If you are receiving a scholarship from your local church and from Impact 2818 Outdoor Ministries you will need to contact the Camp Registrar (317.924.1321) to have your scholarships combined into 1 iCash code.
That Thing Group Scholarships
Students attending That Thing with a church that is purchasing group tickets need to still fill out the online application. However, when the confirmation email provides you with your iCash code, forward all of the information to the church leader who is helping you get to That Thing. They will be able to finish it from there.
