Promoting Camp...

The Camp Coordinator

This is a unique opportunity to serve in a church. This is someone who believes that camping is a critical component to the spiritual formation of youth and to the outreach and evangelism of their church.

  • As a camp coordinator, you become an information and resource point, a recruiter, and a champion.
  • Visit the Camp Sunday Page for more information on planning a Camp Promotions Sunday at your church.

  • youthThe Champion

This isn’t the gladiator kind of champion. It’s more of a verb. This is more, championing. It means to lead the charge. As the champion you help make sure that:

  • Camp Promotion Dates get on the church calendar

  • You get scholarship conversations in front of the endowment committee

  • Get a group excited about leading a scholarship fundraiser

  • Set up a display in your church about their summer options

  • Coordinate a prayer calendar for your church family that lists, by name, the campers, where they will be and when

A Recruiter

Camp is one of those things that has excitement built right into it. Once you show someone camp, once they hear someone’s testimony about howcamp played a major part in their life…most people are ready to go. As a recruiter, you make sure those stories are heard by parents and students. The next part is getting them on our website to sign up for camp or giving them a registration form to mail in.

Plan some times to be at your church youth group, Sunday school classes, children’s programs and a few youthSunday’s during the main worship times to get the exciting news about camp out. Videos and Photos are already accessible to help you out. Plus, in December, there will be bulletin inserts, and PowerPoint backgrounds to help.

An Information and Resource Point

It is helpful for everyone when there is someone you can turn to who will know the answers. As a Camp Coordinator, you have answers. Now, this does mean you’ll need to spend some time reading. Get to know this website and all the information your families might ask. If someone asks a question you don’t know the answer to, ask us. We’ll get you the answers and make sure those answers are easier to find for everyone else as well.

Let your church know that they can come to you with questions about registrations, scholarships from the church, how to apply for Impact 2818 scholarships, choosing an event and more.

To help you be well informed, we want you to let us know that you are your church's Camp Coordinator. We’ll make sure you’re getting the necessary information as well as timely updates, news, materials, and details that will make you successful.
